I mentioned earlier in the ceremony that your children have always been a source of joy and laughter and have taught you many lessons about love and responsibility. Now I have a few questions as you formally affirm your new family.

________ and ______ will you love and respect each other, be honest at all times and give what it takes for this marriage to be successful without losing yourself? We will

Sample 2:
At this time I would like (Child) to come forward. ________ has told me that in addition to the love s/he has for _________; s/he also has a great deal of love for (Child).

Now I have a few questions for the two of them.

_________ will you promise to love (Child), to listen to him/her, to help him/her, and to have fun together? I do!

(Child) will you promise to accept _______'s love, to listen to him/her, to help him/her, and to have fun together? I do!

Please share the gifts you have for each other.
